[Software Wave 2016] 180 Organizations and Companies Unveil Diverse Software Extravaganza

At Software Wave 2016, more than 180 organizations and companies, including public institutions, universities, large corporations, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), are participating. The exhibition items are diverse, ranging from software (SW)-based national services to enterprise innovation solutions and innovative ideas developed by SMEs and startups.
The event will take place from the 26th to the 28th of September at the COEX Hall C 1-4 in Seoul, with a total of 500 booths. The exhibition is expected to attract 30,000 visitors. The event is organized by Electronic Times and sponsored by the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning, the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Korea Communications Commission. The opening ceremony will commence with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. on the 26th at the COEX Lobby. A special address by the Chief Presidential Secretary for Future Strategy at the Office of the President is also scheduled.
SW-Centric Society Special Pavilion and Large Booths:
Upon entering the exhibition hall, visitors will first encounter the SW-Centric Society Special Pavilion organized by the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning and the Korea Information Society Agency. Companies such as Alpha System, Roa Factory, Bio Lab International, LB Vision, PKLNS, Luke Korea, Alligator Scan, InnerSense, Medience Systems, K&S I&C, and Green Tech will be present in the SW Convergence Cluster.
At the rear, there will be a Premier SW Showcase section. Security companies like Dream Security, The Security, and Penta Security Systems will be prominent here. Other participants include Aranta, H2O System Technology, Able Information Technology, Joone I&S, Volt Micro, Hunesion, Smart Us, Origin Studio, Ion Communications, Enki Soft, Quantum Systems, and LS Ware, along with the K-ICT Device Lab and the Enterprise Support Plus section.
Towards the back of the exhibition hall, visitors will find large booths from Bizplay, TmaxSoft, The Zone BizOn, and the Hancom Group. Bizplay will showcase its expense management solution, which innovatively transforms all corporate card expense-related tasks from traditional document-centric to smart-based processes.
TmaxSoft will exhibit various software products centered around Tibero and Animainer. They will also operate an experience zone for Tmax OS, announced in April, and a pre-promotional booth for Cloud Day, scheduled for next month. Other exhibitors include Zeta Data, Zeus, and Infinity Link.
The Zone BizOn, as a comprehensive IT company specializing in enterprise resource planning (ERP), unified communications (UC), security, and cloud solutions, will present a total of nine products. The Hancom Group, along with Hancom and MDS Technology, Hancom Secure, Hancom Interfree, and all other affiliated companies, will showcase various products such as Hancom Cloud Solutions and MDS Technology Embedded SW.

Software Wave 2016 also featured a healthcare section. Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, EZCareTech, and Health Connect jointly introduced smart healthcare systems. Bundang Seoul National University Hospital's smart healthcare system has been exported to hospitals including the Saudi Arabian National Defense Hospital. Syswon, Midas IT, ILA Open, and SysTran also curated various exhibition booths.
On the right side of the SW-centered society special hall, independent booths were set up by Zeran JigyoSoft, On the IT, All Support, Data Streams, Liar Moore Soft, Yuracle, and Water Wall Systems. All Support showcased its remote call system, while Water Wall Systems presented its flagship products, including B2B data leakage prevention solutions. The Korea Drone Industry Association also set up a large booth, presenting various drones and their applications, with some drones available for visitors to experience firsthand.
On the left side of the SW-centered society special hall, SW-centered universities are featured. Sejong University and Kookmin University introduce SW-related departments and explain the SW specialist recruitment and scholarship systems implemented from the 2018 academic year. Medical device company Life Semantic also has a booth next to them.
HandySoft, A ST Soft, Terraclone, MOCOMSYS, Metabuild, and the e-government booth are located at the front. The e-government booth showcases ICT-based national services and overseas export cases. HandySoft and Metabuild showcase groupware and related solutions.
Yalli, 2to1Solution, Smart City Grid, Mindis, Pitacreative, NewsJelly, DFOCUS, FP Mon, and others are stationed in the G zone. The booths become larger as you move to the left. Many 3D-related companies participate, including 3Dlight, 3D Tada, and the Korea 3D Printing Association. The Korea Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation Mentoring Zone, Daelim Chemical, Korea Modernburg, and the Korea Online Advertising Association also present various products and services.
Tech Transfer, NeoSecure, WeeditSoft, Global Line, JisanWare, Dalm Vision, Xtrapl, Osiris Systems, Idea Link, DNA Soft, NHN ENT, NHN D&T, and EXPromotion also add to the excitement of Software Wave. Conan Technology, Egloo Security, Gaon Eye, Korea Electronic Certification, and Korea Data Agency showcase their flagship SW and services to visitors.
Large corporations also participated extensively. LG CNS presented its technology strategy for supporting industry solutions and technology platforms suitable for the digital transformation era.
SK Corporation C&C showcased its AI Avril and cloud Jet. They also presented the smart factory solution "Scala" and Nexcore Alloplex platform. AhnLab and Paws.com also set up large booths. Paws.com presented its Paws Data Security Framework, Sparrow, and Rhapsody products.
Multinational corporations like Oracle Korea and IBM Korea also participated. The Korea Spatial Information Promotion Institute, which operates the national spatial information open platform Vworld, set up a large exhibition hall. Dellsoft, Netsroo, Unicom, Unified Mind, Oak Bioshop, and Citi&I booths were also present.
The Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute showcased a cloud service for integrated management of small and medium-sized enterprise procurement supply chains. Monolith, Giant Drone, DooTrade, Huey Company, GreenCom, AceN, Second Ground, Create New Culture, Vex, Carry Ma, GeniTech, and the Korea Information and Communications Technology Industry Association also set up exhibition halls.
The exhibition halls of leading domestic SW companies were also visible one after another. Axem, EnkiA, Flycub, Inswave Systems, Poses, Mobigen, OBiLab, Zendeck, Trinity Soft, Next Tech, Good Morning Itech, Dongbu, and Toobisoft were all present. The Korea Institute of Production Technology Research showcased successful cases of domestic engineering SW support projects.
Solideo Systems created a national informatization experience corner. Minwon24, which handles complaints such as moving in reports or issuing resident registration certificates, operates an Internet community (www.minwon.go.kr). Smart building management SW, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and other SW were exhibited. Code Mind, Jennifer Soft, Cyanup Soft, and Allanta were also present. The Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute also set up a large booth.
