ICT Convergence Advanced Technology Competition 'IT Convergence Expo' to be Held at Daegu EXCO from the 19th to the 21st

Advanced technologies and products in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) convergence field will gather in one place.
The "2015 Korea IT Convergence Expo" will open at Daegu EXCO for three days from the 19th.
Co-hosted by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, the City of Daegu, and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, this event marks its 10th year. A total of 320 domestic and international companies will set up over 700 booths, showcasing a wide array of cutting-edge technologies and products including displays, mobile, drones, fintech, 3D printing, and LED.

The Display section will feature OLED curved TVs, transparent displays, and Miller displays exhibited by Samsung and LG. Additionally, 20 companies in the display sector will showcase components, analysis equipment, materials, and more.
In the Mobile section, KT, LG Uplus, and SK Broadband will participate, exhibiting healthcare platforms, Smart Fresh, LTE routers, MyCam, and number guardianship services.
Furthermore, in the Drone special section, the world's leading commercial drone market share holder, China's DJI, will unveil its latest products. The National Disaster Safety Research Institute will also present drones developed for disaster cause investigations.
In addition, companies like Prototech, Rocket, and Envitec will showcase various 3D printing systems in the 3D Printing section. The 3D Printing Industry Association will operate a 3D printer education program during the event.
ICT industry support organizations will also participate jointly with companies in a shared booth, exhibiting the latest technologies and research outcomes. Contotech, participating in the Korea Information and Communications Technology Promotion Center joint booth, will showcase a food waste reduction device. Additionally, the Daily Healthcare Verification Team will exhibit healthcare technology utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT), while Daegu Digital Industry Promotion Agency will showcase enterprise support achievements through the Smart Knowledge Service Hall.
Concurrently with the IT Convergence Expo, the 6th LED & Display Exhibition will be held, with 70 companies participating and exhibiting advanced LED products for public and household use.
In the LED streetlight and tunnel light special section, opportunities to directly compare high-efficiency advanced products will be provided. Daegu-based Jeongan Health Technology will showcase various color therapy products that heal diseases through color spectrum fusion of medical and LED lighting technology.
During the event period, Daegu Techno Park, Daegu Bank, Helsel, and System Ever, along with other ICT sector support organizations and companies, will hold the IT Convergence Hot Issue Conference focusing on IoT, fintech, drones, and cloud computing. At this conference's New Technology New Product Description Session, companies like Extron, Datzit, and DepoFocus will unveil new items and solutions.
The International Meeting on Information Display (IMID), one of the world's top three display academic conferences, will also be held at EXCO during the same period. IMID is expected to attract over 2,000 participants from 26 countries.
This year's IT Convergence Expo will feature the 1st FPV Drone Racing Championship, using video transmission devices to conduct drone racing, scheduled to open on the 19th, attracting the attention of spectators.
