Showcasing a Variety of Cloud Services, HW, SW, and More

At Cloud Expo Korea 2014, a diverse exhibition where visitors can experience cloud services in everyday life is being held.
Over 60 organizations and companies, including the Korea Computing Industry Association, as well as IT service, software
(SW), and hardware (HW) providers, have set up 64 booths.
The Korea Computing Industry Association will introduce the progress of computing equipment development to lead
paradigm shifts and the introduction of a designation system for competitive products among small and medium-sized
enterprises. They will also discuss enhancing the performance and reliability of domestic computing equipment, as well
as expanding private sector demand through collaborative technology development between data centers and small and
medium-sized enterprises.
Glucis will exhibit enterprise network-attached storage (NAS) solutions, Netclips will showcase NAS scale-out solutions,
and Itron will present point-of-sale (POS) virtual desktop solutions. The Big Data Infrastructure Support Center will
introduce research facilities and equipment supporting information and communication technology (ICT), Tilun will
showcase virtual data infrastructure solutions and high-quality image processing technology, and LG Hidachi will present
storage solutions.
Cloud-based supply chain management (SCM) applications will also be heavily featured. EC Systems will exhibit SCM for
ship supplies, Centum Internet will introduce specialized SCM for seafood distribution, and M-Lo will showcase
purchasing SCM. The Bizone will present private and public cloud services, and TmaxSoft will offer cloud-based SW such
as Zeus.
The Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute will unveil a service that allows users to access
virtualized desktop environments in the cloud remotely from mobile and regular PCs. The Busan Information and
Communication Industry Promotion Agency's National Human Resources Development Consortium will explain the
current status and development plan of cloud computing industry human resources to visitors.
The Busan National University IoT Research Center will present intelligent cognitive frameworks and platforms for IoT
services, while the Korean Intellectual Property Office will inform visitors about customized citizen participation patent
examination 3.0 and support measures for creating intellectual property rights.
IT service companies will also participate. LG CNS will present virtual desktop services and management solutions, Kolon
Benit will introduce a value chain for cloud-related consulting, construction, operation, and solution supply, and KTDS will
offer cloud management services.
Additionally, numerous other companies, including Encloud 24, Soft Eleven, 3KSoft, Mobigen, Depocus, Enkia, Sunware,
Fusion Data, Eastiel, Hostway, Forever Information, Ila Open, Gaya Data, M.O.S.A, Psi IBIZ, and more, will participate in the
exhibition. An event organizer stated, "Various products and services related to cloud computing will be exhibited,
allowing attendees to stay informed about recent trends in cloud computing."
